Annual Firewood Project for Elders and Families

About

Each year, during the start of the winter season, the organization procures firewood from local reservation vendors and distributes to elders and families in the community that are in need of firewood to heat their homes. The distribution not only provides heating resources to elders and families, but it marks a time of the year families should start considering the upcoming winter months and begin procuring more firewood through other sources. The annual firewood project also employs up to four temporary employees who help with cutting and distributing firewood.
