The Sandstone Affordable Housing Renovation Project is a cooperative with Fort Defiance Housing Corporation d/b/a Sandstone Housing and Nahata Foundation, Inc., both non-profit organizations, and is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Currently, Nahata Foundation, Inc. is renovating two houses within the Sandstone Housing complex in Kayenta, Arizona, which are scheduled to be completed by fall of 2023. The project includes carpentry training to aspiring tradesmen and youth who are employed under the grant project.
